The Maiden King Series: The Reunion of Masculine and Feminine
The Maiden King Series: The Reunion of Masculine and Feminine is a unique and historically significant online course originally taught by Marion Woodman and Robert Bly in their landmark Applewood workshop. For the first time ever, this complete six-part program—previously available only on VHS—is now accessible in digital format, with special permission granted to Eva Rider to present and facilitate this work for a global audience.
This profound Jungian depth psychology course explores the symbolic and archetypal dimensions of the masculine and feminine through the Russian fairy tale The Maiden King. Woodman and Bly, two of the most influential voices in depth psychology, myth, and embodied consciousness, guide participants through a rich exploration of relationships, psyche, soul, and the path toward inner integration.
Each session includes original recorded teachings by Marion Woodman and Robert Bly, along with facilitated discussion led by Eva Rider. Participants will engage with archetypal psychology, myth, poetry, music, and symbolic interpretation, uncovering how these timeless patterns illuminate personal experience, creative development, and relational transformation.
This course offers a unique opportunity to experience the original teachings of Woodman and Bly in their own voices, while participating in a contemporary community dialogue that bridges psyche, imagination, and embodied awareness. Their work points toward the reunion of the masculine and feminine not as gender identities, but as universal archetypal forces within the human psyche—an essential step toward individuation, wholeness, and conscious relationship.
This program is especially valuable for therapists, coaches, artists, spiritual seekers, and anyone interested in Jungian psychology, dreamwork, mythology, alchemy, and the symbolic path of personal transformation.
Facilitated by Eva Rider, Jungian depth psychotherapist, this series preserves and transmits the living legacy of Marion Woodman and Robert Bly, making their original teachings accessible to a new generation for the first time in digital form.

What is The Maiden King Series?
The Maiden King Series is a six-part online Jungian depth psychology course featuring the original teachings of Marion Woodman and Robert Bly. This historically significant workshop, originally recorded in the early 1990s by Applewood Productions, is now available digitally for the first time ever, with special permission granted to Eva Rider to present and facilitate the series for a contemporary audience.
What makes this course unique?
This is the first time this complete workshop has been accessible online. Previously, it existed only on VHS and was not publicly available in digital format. Participants will experience the original video teachings of Marion Woodman and Robert Bly while also engaging in live, facilitated discussions that help integrate the material into personal, creative, and professional life.
Will the sessions be recorded if I cannot attend live?
Yes. Participants will receive access to the recorded material, allowing you to engage with the teachings even if you cannot attend every live session. This makes the course accessible to an international audience across different time zones.
How will this course benefit my personal or professional life?
Participants often gain a deeper understanding of unconscious patterns, relationships, and creative potential. The teachings of Marion Woodman and Robert Bly offer powerful insights that can enrich therapeutic practice, creative work, spiritual exploration, and personal growth. Many find that this work enhances their ability to listen deeply, work symbolically, and engage more authentically with themselves and others.
Who can benefit from attending this workshop?
This course is open to therapists, coaches, artists, spiritual seekers, and anyone interested in Jungian psychology, mythology, archetypes, dreams, and symbolic transformation. Both beginners and experienced practitioners will find the material accessible and deeply meaningful.
Why join this course now rather than later?
This is a unique opportunity to experience a historically important Jungian workshop that has never before been available in digital format. With limited live facilitation and the unique context provided by Eva Rider, this offering creates a meaningful learning community and a deeper integration of the material than self-study alone.

Read a testimonial
“In addition to being an exceptionally gifted soul-oriented psychotherapist, Eva has been freely sharing the depth and breadth of her collective wisdom with a large community of on-line followers. She has spent a lifetime archiving and curating, in beautifully powerful ways, the long history of art and seminal articulations related to Soul Work in its multi-cultural, myriad manifestations from the most ancient Alchemical and Hermetic sources up through modern day Jungian Depth Psychotherapy and other Soul-Oriented perspectives. Eva has been answering a sorely needed and heartfelt call to elucidate the interconnectedness of Dream Work, Astrology, Tarot, and current “evidence-based”, mainstream state of the art Mind/Body techniques for healing trauma, centering, and consciously reclaiming ourselves during these turbulent times of deep change and desperate need for increasing balance/wholeness”.
